In April 2012, the Global Women's Innovators & Inventors Network (GWIIN) held its conference, awards and eco-friendly fashion show in Accra, Ghana. Guest of honour was the 1st Lady of Ghana at the time, Dr. (Mrs) Ernestina Naadu Mills. Auntie Noma received an award for her tv programme Story Time With Auntie Noma. Other recipients of awards included Dr. Sandra Johnson, first black American woman to hold a Ph.D in electrical engineering and with over 400 inventions to her name and other highly innovative women from across the globe. The fashion show was choreographed by fashion icon Adebayo Jones.

Story Time with Auntie Noma has sought to impact the society through its FIRST LADY PROGRAMMES which successfully took off in Nigeria in 2009 with its special edition tagged: MOMENTS WITH THE FIRST LADY OF LAGOS STATE. The First Lady, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, as guest storyteller, engaged the children in a story. Celebrities like Lagbaja- the masked one, leading songstress Onyeka Onwenu, Nollywood's prime actress Joke Silva and Internationally-acclaimed flautist Tee-Mac, along with Nigeria's leading book publishers and more, were all present to play their part in impacting the lives of school children from all over Lagos State, Nigeria in this free event.
